"Connection," like much art, can evoke an array of reaction in viewers.  Some resonate with a playful, curious “I'm interested” quality while others resonate with a more "in your face" attitude and connection.  Regardless of the route, ultimately an inner smile is evoked.  In what way does it move you? 

This composite image is a digital manipulation of a photograph taken in winter in Wilde Lake Village, Columbia, Maryland.  The original image, prior to digital darkroom play, was of a sculpture of larger-than-life family members sitting in a circle.  Wilde Lake Village was one of the first in the 'new city' and the sculpture one of a number of pieces of art throughout the town.  All convey the central importance of family and community so important to Jim Rouse, the town's founder.
