This image of bright, colorful kayaks at rest was used in the promotional materials for the annual juried Art Park festival held at Lakefront in downtown Columbia in 2008.  There is something about the image - perhaps the shimmering intensity of the color and the outward-pointing boats - that can draw the viewer in and issue an invitiation for adventure.  Are you ready for whatever it promises?
